Archaeological fieldwork at Villena bassin (Alicante, Spain): Arenal de la Virgen and Casa Corona open-air sites
ARENAL DE LA VIRGEN
Fieldwork campaign carried out at Arenal de la Virgen uncovered a variety of habitation structures, especially hearths, and rich assemblages of lithic industry and malacological remains. A combination of geoarchaeological techniques was used in order to conduct micromorphological and microstratigraphical analysis.

Archaeological fieldwork at Casa Corona has been carried out during 5 months in the context of the ERC project "Late Glacial and Postglacial Population History and Cultural Transmission in Iberia (c.15,000-8,000 cal BP)"
From a multidisciplinary methodological approach, we have documented different habitat structures, mainly combustion structures.
